Biospherical Future Factors

How will the global conditions of life change?

The biosphere is the global ecosystem comprising living organisms and non-living environment elements, from which the organisms derive their energy. Examples of biospheric future factors are cycles such as global climate warming and cooling, trends such as diminishing biodiversity as a result of the extinction of species, soil erosion, deforestation of the rain forest, the increased shortage of drinking water, and discontinuities such as earthquakes and meteorite strikes. Humans did definitely not cause the meteorite strike on the Mexican peninsula of Yucatan, 65 million years ago which dramatically changed the flora and fauna living there, including the dinosaurs. Most of the current biospheric future factors on the other hand, are anthropogenic. This is true, for example, for a large part of climate change, which is caused or at least furthered by various types of emissions.
